Expect Pipeline Construction near Santee Lakes 3 and 4

Santee Lakes visitors can expect pipeline construction between Lakes 3 and 4. Work will include trenching and the installation of wastewater pipeline.Santee Lakes Construction 4The team is currently at the north end of Lake 3 near the Kiwanis Playground where excavation began the week of February 12, 2024. The playground will remain open to visitors during construction.Santee Lakes Construction 2There is a road closure in between Lakes 3 and 4 with signage near the Sensory Garden that directs pedestrians where to walk. Another road closure will go into effect the week of February 26.Santee Lakes Construction 8Santee Lakes Construction 11Santee Lakes Construction 10Santee Lakes Construction 3In addition, some of the parking spots are blocked off near the playground restrooms but there is still plenty of nearby parking for visitors. The East County Advanced Water Purification Program will produce up to 30 percent of the region's drinking water with purified water production to begin in 2026.Santee Lakes Construction 7
