The Joint Powers Authority awarded Phase 1A work to Anaergia for the Progressive Design-Build-Operate-Maintain Agreement for the energy recovery element of this project - Package 5. Package 5 is the energy recovery operations of the Program. Biogas will be collected from the digestion of biosoilds and used to generate heat and power. The heat will be used to maintain proper temperatures in the digesters and the power will be used to operate equipment thereby saving the JPA and ratepayers costs associated with heat and electricity.
